Parks and Recreation
Picture courtesy Jennings Family - 7/18/2011 The Village of Arena park system consists of two public park areas as well as a fish pond, both under the control of the Village. The existing facilities serve most of the community's needs well at this time; however, additional neighborhood and mini parks will be needed as areas throughout the Village continue to grow. Park areas are available for rent. To confirm specific reservations, please contact the Village Clerk's Office. Arena Park, located at 239 Sharon Street, is the most widely-used park in the Village of Arena. The park contains a shelter with attached concession stand (which includes a kitchen and cooler space), a baseball diamond, and an encompassing walking path surrounded by many large oak trees. It is home to such events as our annual July fireworks, VFW Scholarship Days and Arena Little League. The pavilion is host to many family, friends, and business picnics throughout the summer. The park and shelters and the concession stand may be rented out on a first-come-first-serve basis. For the latest rates and application for renting any Park shelter or the concession stand please contact the Village Office. West Park, located on Pine Road is a small park with a shelter and a fishing pond. The pond is stocked and maintained by the Village of Arena and many volunteers.
